Once again Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre will be an active part of the fantastic Doing Dad's Proud Day held at Cotton Tree Park on Sunday 5th September. As always Cotton Tree Pool is open for free from 10am to 4pm and we will have 3 of our awesome inflatables, “Tiddlywinks”, “The Rocket” and “Da Ball”, up for you to have a go on.
Why not challenge your dad to a race across our famous Inflatable Rocket at 12 noon? The dad to get the furthest will win a 3 month Ultimate Fit Pass. Spaces are limited so sign up early on the day! There will also be a free Aqua Aerobics class on at 10 and heaps of other fun events to take part in. We can't wait to see you at the pool!

Australian Rock Legends in Concert stars four of Australia’s rock royalty in a unforgettable show that promises great songs PLUS the sharing of some backstage secrets!
Joe Camilleri (Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons, The Black Sorrows) is a singer songwriter & saxophonist who has enjoyed a career in music like no other. Grace Knight was the original voice of the Indie pop group Eurogliders & has gone onto become a successful jazz singer making appearances in the TV series Come In Spinner. Normie Rowe is Australia’s biggest pop star of the sixties & was the first Melbourne recording artist to achieve a national Australian No. 1.
These three will come together in a celebration of Australian music singing the hit songs that defined their careers, supported by their incredible live rock band.
Join them on their journey & relive your old favourites such as;

The 2010 Sunshine Coast Blues Festival will once again bring together the Blues family for a great weekend of Blues at the Nambour Showgrounds. The Coast’s biggest & best celebration of Blues Music, this homegrown Festival with a reputation for being “True Blues” is shaping up to be a sensational weekend.
The Festival, now into its 6th year, prides itself on its initiative to seek out & showcase new talent, introducing audiences to many exciting artists that may not be widely known but bring talent, commitment & passion for the Blues.

Set in Atlanta, Georgia, deep in America’s south, Alfred Uhry’s Driving Miss Daisy takes us on a leisurely drive from 1948 to 1973.
Since Miss Daisy is becoming a menace behind the wheel, her son Boolie ignores her protests & hires Hoke, an African-American chauffeur.
At first, Daisy wants nothing to do with Hoke as she strongly values her independence. Hoke's methods of gentleness & patience over the years in his ongoing tug-of-war with the temperamental Daisy, finally begins to pay off as eventually she acknowledges his wisdom. But it is only after 25 years together that they can finally admit to the depth of the trusting friendship they have shared.
