Tue 14 Oct 6pm for 6.30pm start Books of Buderim invites you to Ann Rickard's latest book launch ‘Ooh La La! A French Romp’ By Ann Rickard $8 per person RSVP: As soon as possible, as seating will be limited, and Ann's launches are always so popular. Phone 5445 1625 to reserve your seat or email boobud@flexinet.com.au
Noosa-based travel author Ann Rickard released her latest book this month & it's her funniest & best yet. Entitled ‘Ooh La La! A French Romp’ it details Ann's quirky adventures as she changes career from travel writer to tour guide in Provence. The change came about when Madame Amanda Taylor-Ace, a Kiwi living in Provence, read Ann's previous books, contacted her & invited her over to stay in her 18th century stone maison in the tiny village of St. Maximin. These two voluptuous 'women of a certain age' immediately clicked, & came up with the idea to run a cooking school and tours of Provence.
Ann gathered the tour guests from Australia, Amanda gathered the chefs from Provence, they both enlisted the help of Ann's husband, the ever-patient Geoffrey, for the mini-van driving, wine purchasing & gentlemanly tour guide duties. The result was very ooh, la la! This book takes you on a delightful romp through the South of France with two women, one patient man, eight expectant tour guests, lashings of French food and wine, & just for added measure, some quirky sexual adventures. Set amongst the glorious French countryside, it will have you laughing out loud & wishing to join them. Ooh La La! A French Romp is a true celebration of life & all its joys. A copy of Ann's bestselling 'Not Another Greek Salad' will be given away with all purchases.
