Although Buderim does not have its own music store, we do have our own radio station! 104.9 Sunshine FM has its head office right in the heart of Buderim’s CBD & they are the radio station of choice for the over-50’s – playing music from all era’s including a lot of older music that has been long forgotten, right up to today’s easy listening.

There’s also interesting music-related links to an alternative independent, Aussie label producing limited-edition CD releases, the coolest Australian independent record store located in Melbourne where you can track down & order just about any music on the planet, no matter how obscure (or collectable!) & a link to Tsunami Magazine, our very own street press right here on the Sunshine Coast, keeping you up-to-date with their comprehensive gig guide. Enjoy!

Sunshine FM, in Buderim, is one of Australia’s best radio stations for the over 50’s, playing favourite tracks from all eras – the first major radio station in the world where every announcer & newsreader operates from home.

One announcer who is passionate about radio is someone very familiar to a whole generation of Australians, the legendary Graham Webb. Graham has a huge following on-air & still has his easy listening ‘radio-magic’ voice!

It’s the highest rating community radio station in any major market in Australia. Sunshine FM is on air 24/7 on 104.9 FM.

AFTERBURN AUSTRALIA
Visit Afterburn Australia >>

This site covers the two labels...Afterburn Records and Death Valley Records.
Afterburn is our current (and very active) label which is strictly reissues. We put out music we dig, with total genre autonomy – from both our own back yard and across the seas. Releases that may of slipped between the cracks, ones that deserve an extra piece of time in the sun,and others that are seeing the light of day for the very first time! Simply whatever rattles our boat & sends our neck hairs into the stratosphere.
Death Valley is a more intermittent affair, with just 12 releases in 14 years (eight 7" vinyl singles, two CD's), but is by no means ‘dead in the woods’ and will continue to issue newer music as time rolls by. So click onto the logos to check out the discographies and watch the site updates for lots of (what we think) are very exciting and worthy music releases across quite a few formats. We hope that you share in our fandom & shake out some repeat listens.
