Operatif! June Concert in Buderim
‘Waltz of my Heart’

NEW VENUE: St Marks Anglican Church
Main St Buderim
Operatif!’s next offering for Buderim will be a spirit-lifting concert brimming with luscious waltzes, favourites songs, elegant strings and more. There will also be a new Buderim venue for Operatif! with rising venue costs at the War Memorial Hall necessitating a move to St Mark’s.
We are delighted that the move has been so simple. All we have had to do is toddle next door where Father Gowty of St Mark’s Anglican has warmly welcomed us into the glorious acoustic of the church.”
All future Operatif! programs in Buderim will be at St Marks.
“We have added some new concerts and new venues for the second half of the year including the charming Majestic Theatre at Pomona,” said Jennifer, “so people should contact us for a revised brochure. Reprinting is being done right now and we’ve already had one Buderim Retirement Village interested in bringing a bus to one of the new venues.”
Operatif!’s June concert will feature soprano Jennifer Parish, baritone Stewart Cameron, and special guests, The Queensland Pops Orchestra Trio. Guest pianist, local Coast resident Janet Brewer…a Master of Music no less…will make her Operatif! debut.
“The audience will hear a wonderful mix of music from old favourites such as Vilia and the Merry Widow Waltz and other operetta greats, string music from Elgar, Schubert and Kreisler, some Ivor Novello…just a marvellous, bright and uplifting program!” Jennifer added.

Tickets to the concert are just $25, ($20 for groups and ‘Friends of Operatif!’) and this includes afternoon tea prepared by St Mark’s ladies. There is a repeat at nearby Palmwoods on Thursday morning 19th June for those busy on the Sunday.
To book or to receive the revised concert brochure,
