“Five Women Wearing the Same Dress”

A Comedy directed by Keith Daly
Nambour Lind Lane Theatre
16 Mitchell St Nambour
An irreverent & funny look at the intricacies of friendship & the power of similar dressing. During a flashy & pretentious wedding reception at a Tennessee estate, five reluctant, identically-clad bridesmaids hide out in an upstairs bedroom, each with her own reason for avoiding the proceedings below. They are Frances, a painfully sweet but sheltered fundamentalist; Mindy, the cheerful, wisecracking lesbian sister of the groom; Georgeanne, whose heartbreak over her own failed marriage triggers outrageous behavior; Meredith, the bride’s younger sister whose rebelliousness masks a dark secret; & Trisha,
a jaded beauty whose cynicism about men is called into question when she meets Tripp, a charming bad-boy usher to whom there is more than meets the eye.
Starring: Naomi Clasohm & talented newcomers Hayley Barker, Heather Nelson, Aimee Board, Belinda Murray & John Knight
Note: The play contains coarse language & adult themes
Tickets: $18 Adult, $16 Concession

Seductions & confrontations run rampant throughout this hilarious play.
Starring: Frank Wilke, Ben Leiman, Matt Dunstan, Alan Stewart,
Leona Kirby, Sonia Petrack & Kitten Styler.

Verrierdale Full Moon Dance

Doors open 7.30 pm
18+ Licensed venue
It a fantastic line up for the next Full Moon Dance including:

SHOWPONY
• Hat Fitz & Itchy
• Psychedelia
• William Moon Book Society

SHOWPONY
Showpony are the hottest band on the Coast, if not Queensland. With their fresh, innovative & addictive power rock they enchant audiences wherever they play. They combine a rare creative connection with truly amazing technical ability & theatrical performances, so be prepared for an exciting, memorable experience of powerful rock entertainment.

Hat Fitz & Itchy
Anyone who has seen Hat Fitz perform at one of his many festival appearances across Australia knows how the big man can stir up an audience. With his wild frantic interpretations of early delta blues classics & self-penned songs in tandem with drumming sidekick Itchy, he has built a reputation as a hard edged raw blues man.
On stage Itchy & Fitzy have an amazing telepathic communication that keeps the music tight while reaching seemingly out of control crescendos.

Psychedelia
Psychedelia are at their best playing the cream of pop rock from the 60’s & 70’s from bands like Led Zeppelin, Stones, Hendrix, The Who & the Easybeats. Its fun & they love it. Suggest you wear your dancing shoes.

William Moon Book Society
Combining delicate storytelling with emotion, the William Moon Book Society will take you on a journey through love, loss & all the spaces in between. With gentle, sensitive & honest vocal & guitar arrangements plus a dynamic string section, the William Moon Book Society offer a powerful, genuine whole-hearted approach to their music & to those who choose to listen.

Fundraiser
As always, the Verrierdale Full Moon Dance is a fundraiser for the local community group to pay for upkeep of the hall & public liability insurance. The dance is licensed, so no BYO & unfortunately no under 18s.

Tickets:
We’ve been working hard to keep this wonderful community event affordable for all, but unfortunately the escalating costs have forced an increase in the cover charge to $20 per person / $15 concession. This is still amazing value for 4 great bands & the fantastic Verrierdale atmosphere.
