Buderim Christmas Spectacular

THIS SUNDAY!
Sun 12 Dec from 5pm
Nambour Carols
Nambour Baptist Sportsground
Cnr Coes Creeks Rd & Erbacher Rd, Nambour
The Nambour Baptist Church, now joined by Nambour combined churches, realised it was time the area hosted its own carols night and took a leap of faith hiring a big stage, big band & great entertainers to give Nambour a free family night to remember.
The night kicks off at 5pm with free kids entertainment and a sausage sizzle.
The event has grown into a fun-filled family night not only because of the quality of performers but because the night brings a beautiful spirit that sometimes gets left behind with modern day carols.
Performers on the night will include ARIA & Golden Guitar nominee Ked Taylor, who has toured with the late Slim Dusty, recording artists Margy Manfield & Kelly Murphy as well as classical brilliance with Christina Bollondorf & Thomas Patterson.

Popular local Paul Murray & the internationally acclaimed Machaneh Dance Company will also perform.

Bring a rug or chair & get ready to have a great night out in Nambour!
Organiser Margy Manfield said the night wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of local sponsors: Sunshine Coast Regional Council, McDonalds Nambour, Gregson and Weight, Toyworld Nambour, Lanhams/Melco, Bank of Queensland Nambour, Hot/Zinc FM, Accura Group.
Margy also said the event’s major sponsor, Nambour RSL, would be generously providing an amazing fireworks display to close the event.

Christmas Carols at Cotton Tree

Sun 19 Dec
Carols on Kings
Kings Beach Amphitheatre, Caloundra
FREE ENTRY
5.30pm to 9.30pm

Coast families are expected to turn out in force again this year for the free Carols by Candlight event planned for Caloundra just before Christmas.
Sunshine Coast Council is holding Carols on Kings at Kings Beach Amphitheatre in Caloundra on Sunday 20th December. This will end in a fireworks display.
In recent years, up to 10,000 people have attended the event - proving the popularity of celebrating Christmas on the Coast under the stars.
Commencing at 6.30pm, Carols is proudly presented by the Sunshine Coast Council's Events and Celebrations unit with a focus on fun and entertainment for all ages. Sunshine Coast Mayor Bob Abbot encourages residents to come along and join in the festivities.
Be sure to bring a blanket and your picnic basket because from 5.30pm children can be entertained by roving performers including Mr Magic, Ned Nucklehead and Domino the Christmas Elf.
Especially for kiddies, the Silly Billies will present Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus is coming to Town.

That's not all on the entertainment program though - there will be great performances throughout the night by such acts as soloists Liza Beamish (soprano) and Johhny Peek (tenor), New World Rhythm Choir (directed by Brian Martin), The Pacific Chamber Orchestra (conducted by Barrie Gott), Golden Beach State School and Dance School, Tahlia Bland (panio), Wes Taylor Duo, SC Performing Arts Centre Dance Troupe and community carol singing lead by Caloundra Chorale.
And to top the night off, a great fireworks show will end the evening with a bang.
Food, drinks and glow products will be available from local community organisations. Carols is an alcohol and glass free event.
There is a free bus for Carols on Kings with services running from and to Caloundra Bus Interchange in Cooma Terrace from 4pm to 9.30pm
