The Old Buderim Post Office was purchased from Telstra by the BWMCA as a Community Information Centre in 1998. This
was a project that involved the whole community with more than half the money raised by donations & fund-raising by local businesses, community groups & residents.
The building was renovated & restored to better than new by a dedicated team of volunteers & now serves as the Community Information Centre in the heart of Buderim.
The Buderim Old Post Office Community Information Centre is open 6 days a week, Mon-Fri from 10am to
4pm, & Sat 10am to 12.30pm.
Staffed by a team of volunteers – friendly, local people who know Buderim well so they are happy to assist visitors with tourist information, directions to a
particular street or help new residents to the Village settle in & find their way around.
At Buderim’s Info Centre, the Buderim Community Association regularly holds a
“Welcome to Buderim” Morning or Afternoon Tea, especially to greet new residents, answer your queries, help you make new friends & really settle
in! So if you’re new to Buderim, contact Robyn Lee on (07) 5476 7212 & RSVP to the next Morning Tea. You’re welcome!
Paradoxically, the Old Buderim Post Office is unable to sell stamps! The official
Post Office is a short stroll away at Buderim Central. Thankfully, The Old Post Office does sell Buderim postcards & a variety of local publications, the piece
de resistance being “The Flavours of Buderim” cookbooks, full of mouth-watering recipes by Buderim people. These books have shot to the top of the
best seller list in Buderim & can now be found in kitchens all over the world! It is also available by mail order here.
Call in or phone 5477 0944. By the way, Buderim’s postcode is 4556.
