If it’s all too daunting you can just offload it all to the school for their own jumble sale – all donations are very welcome & can be left at the school’s P&C office any morning between now & 15 August.
Set up for the car boot sale is at 6am through Lindsay Road entrance between the two pools.  Gates will be closed to cars at 6.55am.  Don’t worry about breakfast before you come – grab a delicious bacon and egg roll for only $4 or a sausage & wash it down with a hot coffee.

Relay for Life is a local community event designed to remember those lost to cancer, honour survivorship & create hope for the future.
All funds raised go towards cancer research, education programs on prevention & early detection & support services.
Cancer never sleeps, hence the reason Relay for Life is an overnight team event. Teams of 10-15 people take turns in walking or running relay style around a track for 18 hours while enjoying a carnival-style atmosphere & camping out. Each team member is encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 in the lead-up to the event.
A non-stop entertainment program runs all night which includes live musical entertainment, movies & on-track games. Participants are encouraged to dress-up & make the event as sociable as they like. Small prizes for the best team theme, best campsite, best letterbox, best baton.
The Survivors Walk. These people are living proof that these vital funds really do make a difference. This symbolic lap of honour wearing a purple sash is part of the Relay for Life’s Opening Ceremony. If you are a survivor of cancer celebrate the journey by participating. Survivors are to arrive no later than 2.15pm to register for their symbolic lap starting at 3pm.

The Sunshine Coast Concert Band conducted by their Music Director Ken Chadwick will present a popular program of “Classical Cupcakes” at their next charity concert.
The concert will feature a delightful programme of musical morsels that everyone will know and love, all arranged for symphonic wind ensemble. The program includes such highlights as The William Tell Overture, Nessun Dorma, the Trumpet Voluntary, the theme from Chariots of Fire and the Ride of the Valkyries, The concert will finish with a bang with Tchaikovsky’s superb 1812 Overture!
With some light selections from Phantom of the Opera and The Three Tenors, this will be an afternoon of favourites designed to delight every lover of good music. Soloists Bev Gourlay and Aart Schouten will sing The Impossible Dream, Over the Rainbow, and also the very popular When the Sgt Major's on Parade.
The concert is presented by the Order of St John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller Sunshine Coast Commandery in association with 104.9 Sunshine FM, and all profits will benefit the Hear and Say Centre.

“It’s one of our favourite movies. When Rick auditioned for the band way back when, we played together a bit in the rehearsal room. Well, that was fine, we knew he could play, but more importantly we wanted to know ’What’s your favourite movie?’ That was a very important thing to us. It’s one thing to play music together but you have to share some of the same sensibilities, frontman Dave Faulkner explains. "Rick also liking Dr. Strangelove ticked all the right boxes."
Faulkner and his bandmates, guitarist Brad Shepherd, bassist Rick Grossman & drummer Mark Kingsmill, have been going strong, again, since reuniting in late-2003 after almost six years apart.
